ZLD Systems (Zero Liquid Discharge)
ZLD, which stands for Zero Liquid Discharge, is an advanced and highly sustainable wastewater treatment approach designed to ensure that not a single drop of wastewater is discharged into the environment. Instead of allowing industrial effluents to pollute rivers, lakes, or soil, ZLD systems capture and process all the wastewater generated from factories, industrial plants, and other facilities.
The collected wastewater undergoes a series of rigorous treatment processes, such as filtration, evaporation, crystallization, and chemical treatment. These processes remove contaminants and separate water from dissolved and suspended solids. The clean water produced can then be safely reused within the facility—for cooling, washing, or other operational needs—significantly reducing fresh water consumption. Meanwhile, the residual solids are converted into dry, manageable forms, which can often be disposed of safely or even utilized, depending on their composition.
